Create a Release

1. Start by Creating a Release

To Create a Release you can start by heading to the 'Create' icon on the left navigation bar of your platform. Once here you will see various options of creation, simply click 'Create a Release' to get started.

Alternatively you can proceed to your Catalog > Releases > Click 'Create Release' highlighted in the red call to action button seen in the screen below:

2. Add Track/s to your Release

You will now be able to select a single track to create a Single or add multiple tracks to your release in order to create an album or E.P.

If you do not have any tracks in your catalog you can simple add one by clicking the 'Upload new tracks' button highlighted in red seen on. the screen below:

3. Add Cover Art

Cover Art Formatting:

  • We support: JPG, JPEG, PNG, JFIF

  • Please ensure your cover art is square, less than 10 MB and a minimum of 1400px wide (3000px width is recommended for best results).

Your cover art cannot contain:

  • Any text other than the release title and/or artist name

  • Web URLs, social media handles/icons, or contact information

  • Sexually explicit imagery

  • Third-party logos or trademarks without express written consent from the trademark holder

4. Add Release Details

You will now be able to add all the relevant metadata assigned to your release. In-order to successfully create your release the following fields are required:

  • Metadata Language - Add the metadata language you want your release in.

  • Track Audio - Audio file will be automatically added and locked to your release.

Note: Release Title will need to be added if more than 1 track is included.

  • Artists - Main Primary and all Featuring Artists

  • Genres - Primary & Secondary Genres

  • Release History - Provide details if your release was previously distributed.

  • Label - Add label information to your release.

  • UPC/EAN/JAN - Add existing UPC/EAN/JAN Codes

  • Catalog ID - Add this fro any personal use needed.

  • Copyright:

    • Add the Publisher Copyright Info

    • Add the Creator Copyright Info

5. Release Management

Once your release has been successfully created you will be able to manage your release and view the metadata from your Catalog > Releases.

From your catalog you will be able to manage your audio file, view the metadata, and assign this track to a release for distribution.
